Anxiety presents itself in many forms. It is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong or needs your attention.
When your body senses danger, it releases adrenaline to prepare you to fight or flee. You may know this as the “fight or flight syndrome”. Blood rushes to the areas of your body that must be protected and used to protect yourself or run. That is why you often feel your heart pounding and your breathing gets rapid and shallow.
Anxiety becomes a problem when there is not a real threat. Your brain does not know the difference between real and imagined threats, so we have to learn to recognize the signs of an oncoming anxiety or panic attack, and retrain our mind to see things more realistically, before we succumb to a panic attack.
Anxiety is a very treatable disease. I have successfully helped people overcome:
- Stress and Anxiety disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Panic attacks
- Phobias
- Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
You do not have to suffer with the symptoms of anxiety.
Anxiety is not something you have to learn to live with.
